Future of Sizing

The PS Collective is moving toward a different way of sizing. Eventually, we will abandon the universal sizing S, M, L, XL etc. because we feel the labels are actually arbitrary and don’t mean much as you travel from brand to brand. What is “petite” when women in the US on average are 5’4’’? What is “plus size” when the average woman in the US is a size 14 or larger? What is “average” when we live in one of the most diverse countries in the World? These labels do nothing to help us move forward, but do everything to create more of a divide and offer another box for us to be neatly put into. Here’s the problem… there’s nothing “neat” about it. It takes responsibility off of mass merch retailers to make something for you and puts it on us, as shoppers. This causes so many problems from returns, to over-production, and waste, not to mention body insecurity. Well, we are putting an end to it. As the site grows, so too will our practices. For now, we have sizes that you are used to, but using our artificial intelligence technology we are mapping for a future that embraces matching you to the right sizes made for your body as well as made-to-order creations just for you! Stick around and be a part of the Fashion Revolution!
