Renting

How much does it cost to rent THE PS COLLECTIVE?

Customers are charged by the rental window. We have 3 rental windows: 4-Day, 8-Day, and 16-Day. Each increase in the window time frame results in a +20% increase in price based on the 4-Day window. You can read more about the rental windows here

What happens if I damage something I rented?

We hope that our customers would treat our items as they would their own, but we know things happen. When you rent an item from our site, you are able to also add on damage insurance for $7. This will cover any repairable damage (a broken zipper, missing beads, stain removal) up to a maximum repair cost of $50 per rental to give you peace of mind when renting.

Damage beyond repair
Loss of item due to carelessness, theft, or other
Damage in excess of $50 repair fee
In the event of irreparable or excessive damage and/or loss, the Renter would be liable to cover the total estimated market value of the item, at the discretion of THE PS COLLECTIVE team.

Do you offer damage insurance?

Yes! We want all of our customers to have peace of mind when renting and lending on our platform. If you choose to, you can add $7 damage insurance to your rental. This will cover any repairable damage (a broken zipper, missing beads, stain removal) up to a maximum repair cost of $50 per rental to give you peace of mind when renting.

My item has arrived in poor condition, what should I do?

We inspect and clean garments after every use so we would hope that you do not run into a subpar quality experience. If your items are less than satisfactory, please take a picture and send us a note here as soon as possible. We will assess and remedy the situation on a case-by-case basis.

Is there a limit to how often I am able to rent items?

No! You can rent as many items as many times as you want, pending availability. We want you to keep on shining! 

How long can I rent an item for?

We have 3 rental windows: 4-Day, 8-Day, and 16-Day based on your needs. You can read more about the rental windows here.

How do I know if an item is available to buy instead of rent?

All items on the site will be clearly labeled with the rental window options. Those items that are able to be purchased will also have a clickable BUY NOW button allowing you to add it to your cart and checkout.

What happens if I want to buy something?

Yay! We love that. If you have rented something and would like to buy it, navigate to the specific items page and see if the BUY NOW option is currently available. If the item is not available to purchase, it likely means there is another customer who has scheduled to rent the garment after you. If this is the case and you would still like to buy the item, write to us here and we will make sure the item makes its way back to you.

What if I want to lend or sell something in my closet?

Sweet! Might as well make some money off of the items collecting dust in your closet, right? We take care of everything (photography, measuring, listing, marketing) while you can sit back collecting some dough. If you are interested in lending or selling, reach out to us and we will send you a bag and label to send your items to us to list. 

As a lender, how can I request my items back?

Just send us a note here and we can get your items back to you ASAP. We appreciate at least a month’s notice in case there are items being rented by others on the platform.

What if my item doesn’t fit?

We are highly focused on fit and taking the guessing game out of your shopping experience. We have given you extensive information on all garments to help you make the best-educated decision for you and your body. If you receive the garment and it doesn’t fit, please let us know so we can have you return the dress as soon as possible to receive a refund.

What types of items does THE PS COLLECTIVE hold?

THE PS COLLECTIVE is only accepting special occasion wear right now. This will change in the future, but for now, if you have dresses, jumpsuits, and jackets that fall within the special events bucket we would be happy to list them for you. We focus on high-quality garments and will not accept items from SHEIN or the like. 

How does THE PS COLLECTIVE clean garments?

Part of ensuring we are providing a high-quality experience to our customers involves making sure all items are thoroughly inspected and cleaned upon the garment’s return. We work with trusted and experienced professionals to make sure your items are always in tip-top shape. 

Delivery

How soon can I expect my items after placing an order?

All orders typically ship 1 - 2 days prior to your delivery date. If your order arrives early, it does not affect your return date. 

How can I track my rental?

Every rental and purchase from our site will be shipped out with a tracking label. If you also have an account with Shop, you will receive real-time updates via your Shop app. 

How do I return my rental?

Every rental is shipped with a return label. You can pack your item back in the plastic and then within the garment bag and place the return label on the outside of the package. 

I lost my return label and/or garment bag, what should I do?

Please try to keep your garment bag, plastic cover, hanger, and label for your return shipment. If you happen to misplace one or more of the items, please reach out to us so we may instruct you on how to proceed. Please note there may be an incremental charge to replace items missing.

What happens if I miss my return window?

If you miss your return window you will be charged an automatic late fee. It’s important to stick to the return windows because there may be other customers who are waiting to receive the garments for their special occasions.
